As seen in Southern Weddings Magazine!

I’ve been waiting for ages to post Kathie & Matt’s wedding since it had to be kept secret to be in Southern Weddings Magazine. Their big day was nothing short of extraordinary at the Inn at Perry Cabin!

Guests were greeted with lush floral & fruit displays that screamed “Summer”.

Kathie’s Watters’ gown was made for her. It was elegant but light & airy…important for a Summer wedding on the water. I love the detailing along the layers’ edges.

The ceremony took place in an intimate Catholic church in St. Michaels, MD where Matt’s family priest from Colorado married them.

Kathie’s Bridesmaids were given the task of choosing their own dresses, which ended up being breezy & flattering. The flowers from Amaryllis were the perfect compliment to the peach and gray tones.

A fun addition to the cocktail hour…guests were given custom silhouettes while they listened to blue grass and enjoyed an antipasti bar.

The Bride’s special drink was an Arizona Stinger because she was born in Arizona.

An elaborate seating card display added to the cocktail hour setting.

Croquet and lawn games were set up for everyone to enjoy at any time.

How stunning is this Maggie Austin cake!?! Easily the most beautiful cake I’ve ever photographed. I love how Kathie & Matt’s initials were carved into the tree.

Karson Butler Events & Amaryllis really outdid themselves when they designed two trees (the two interior tent poles) to extend throughout the tent with bird cages & candles.

Wonderment. Rustic Wedding Inspiration.

A late summer workshop at the breathtaking Scottsville estate Belle Haven brought out the best in the vendors we assembled to create a charming, yet glamorous, inspiration shoot. A stunningly elegant Southern couple, the mystical, sweeping grounds of Belle Haven, and the detail-packed tablescapes, inspired by the strong farm-to-table culture of Central Virginia cuisine, all combined to deliciously overwhelm the senses.

The Wonder workshop was a part of the Art of Photography Learning Series co-created by Jen Fariello and Robert Radifera. The workshop was set up as a two-day inspired photography experience, with Meghan Streit of Shindig and Pat and Sherry of Southern Blooms transforming Belle Haven into a photographer’s playground. As you can see- we were overwhelmed with inspiration!
