The thing about old friends is not that they love you, but that they know you. They remember that disastrous New Year’s Eve when you mixed White Russians and champagne, and the uncomfortable couch in your first apartment and the smoky stove in your beach rental. They look at your and don’t really think you look older because they’ve grown old along with you, and, like the faded paint in a beloved room, they’re used to the look.- Anna Quindlen, Lots of Candles, Plenty of Cake
Kathryn & David, An Annapolis Waterfront Wedding
Kathryn & David’s wedding was so lovely. It was in their backyard (on the water!) with all of their favorite people present. It was the perfect late Summer wedding with a colorful nautical theme and cool breeze blowing as the sun set. Plus, there was the sweetest dog present which made me even more excited to be there. I am so happy to have been able to witness such joy on this gorgeous day. I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! xoxoKatie

I want love to be simple. I want to trust without thinking. I want to be generous with my affection and patience and love unconditionally. It is easier to love a person with their flaws than to weed through them. I want to love the whole person, not parts; and this is how I want to be loved.- Jewel Kilcher

Heaps of love in an apple orchard
It’s been a good while since I’ve posted anything on the blog. This past year was wonderfully crazy…living between Virginia & Canada and trying to find a sense of balance in between while maintaining a full time business. Some of the people who have become even dearer to me are photographer Adam Barnes, his gorgeous wife Lauren, and little B. I was so honored to do some family photos of them this past Fall in Charlottesville, VA in an apple orchard that I grew up going to. In 2014, I plan on officially offering family sessions so if you’re interested, please email me at [email protected].
But first, enjoy this film made by Naz at NazFilms !
