Matt & Amanda’s Charlottesville Engagement

Several years ago (what seems like ages ago), I met Matt while I was an art student at JMU in a metals & jewelry class. He was one of the nicest people I had ever met. After we graduated, he had met a girl named Amanda and once I had met her I knew right away that she was the one for him. I’m pretty sure I freaked him out when I told him that one day he was going to marry her. hahaha. Now they are engaged and I love everything about that.

Matt is an incredibly talented graphic designer. He actually designed this site! Also, Matt happens to be a very popular musician. He’s just your everyday renaissance man haha. Every time I see Amanda, I want to squeeze her. She is someone that you want to be and I’m so happy she is a friend. Since Amanda works at the Charlottesville SPCA, they foster animals with open arms. They’re getting married in September in Lexington, VA at Matt’s family’s farm and it will, undoubtedly be one of my favorite weddings ever.

Thanks for checking these out!

ps-click on over to their blog and wedding website to see how their engagement photos were used.

Below on the right is Wrigley who was their foster pup at the time and on the left is their adopted little Lewis.

Charlottesville has such a great arts community. They have installations around the city and we went to the whale tails for some foolishness.

Then, we swung by Circa. If you ever get the chance to go here, you must. They have a massive collection of great vintage furniture & decor of all types. I really wanted to take that green stool & desk home below…

Oh Christian’s Pizza…why can’t you be in every city???

I love that I caught Matt stealing a sausage off of Amanda’s pizza…typical haha.

Time to cool down at the local park and then onto play some basketball!

shot entirely with portra 400.
