Melissa & Bryan: Brooklyn Love.

When Dave & I were up in NYC a few weeks ago, I shot Melissa & Bryan’s engagement session around Brooklyn. We hit the end of the beautiful Fall leaves before they were all on the ground. I love these two to pieces. How gorgeous are they!?! They also happen to be some of the nicest people I’ve ever met.

I am also incredibly proud of myself because 95% of their session was done in film since I had just gotten back from the Jose Villa Workshop in Mexico which gave me the determination to make film my own.

I can’t wait until their DC wedding next Fall!

xoxoKatie

PS-If you’re thinking of booking for 2011, please don’t hesitate because dates are going very quickly and it would be sad to loose yours’.

Serrin & Eric: A Strong Mansion Wedding

Serrin & Eric are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet. They had their amazing luncheon wedding at the Strong Mansion in Maryland and I couldn’t believe that Serrin had planned absolutely everything. She designed their invites & programs which were perfect. Nancy, Serrin’s mom is a very talented artist who made their ring plate…how personal!

Dress: Marisa
Shoes: Seychelles
Eric’s suit: Brooks Brothers
Flowers: Blossom & Basket Boutique
Caterer: Canapés Catering

Here’s what Serrin had to say:

“Strong Mansion was one of the last places on our list to visit and as
soon as we saw the grounds we were sold. We had over a year to plan so
we took our time and tackled things in spurts, which made it much less
overwhelming. As most people say, it was really important for the day
to represent us — how we feel about each other, our families and
friends, and even the institution of marriage. It was absolutely
amazing to see each piece of the beautiful puzzle we created fit
together perfectly.
